Y(Our) Lines Between Us- May 2015

 

As the final installment in a four part series of works that researched the communal construction of identity, this two part work followed a similar structure of Iamisarewaswere in that both pieces began with an installation and followed with a performance. 

 

Using repetition and the compositional tool of canon as a structural framework, we composed a shared identity between three women and the audience around them. Constantly pulling images, energy, and validation from each other and the audience, the women ultimately end in stagnation.
